Do you put anything on the hair while braiding that helps with this? She is 4 and still has a lot of new growth, but it just gets fuzzy. The Bergstedt'shttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07993772158386681076noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-487983111720513109.post-69676849780016962752011-05-27T06:13:57.903-07:002011-05-27T06:13:57.903-07:00@Patience - I did not count her braids this time a...@Patience - I did not count her braids this time around, but as a rough guess I would say about 70. Now that we are 2 weeks into the style they are starting to look fuzzy. Maybe that is because of swimming and letting her get them wet in the shower? They will still hold out for another 2 weeks though I think :) I also did not track my time when putting these in. The length of time has somewhat to do on length of hair. Hair that is half as long requires far fewer stitches per braid so is much faster, hair that is longer then V's would obviously take longer. I would guess it took me 3 to 4 hours. But I can be slow sometimes :)Katie and Stephhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09599913531766586871noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-487983111720513109.post-87048511508771031032011-05-26T18:32:29.703-07:002011-05-26T18:32:29.703-07:00So how many box braids are there in her head and h...So how many box braids are there in her head and how long did it take? I'm planning ahead for dd's week away at camp; a camp beside a lake with daily swimming (although the camp actually insists on swim caps in regulation white no less) DD (Haitian born) has great hair that holds a style probably in a similar way to your dd.Patiencehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08567149340809225297noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-487983111720513109.post-21905929199084427822011-05-23T19:44:58.370-07:002011-05-23T19:44:58.370-07:00Love the box braids. You just inspired me to try this on my daughter this weekend...we have to use rubber bands, though, as she still plays with her hair and likes to pull the braids apart (my daughter is 2 1/2 and I can't get her to keep her from playing with her hair)Nikkihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18064081405345259505noreply@blogger.com
